Hi! I’m Rabab Mosalam, the proud owner and planner of Ruby Events. I graduated from Cairo University in Egypt.  There is a few things that I love: smiling at strangers, hugging people I just met, and planning and executing wildly successful weddings and events.  I am also a martial arts expert.

 

I am what you would call a people-pleaser; and did I mention that I love my job? For me, making someone’s day better is such a great feeling, it’s so satisfying and I get to do that on one of the most important days of your life!  I am kind of obsessed with detailing the perfect timeline; and I love the thrill of finding someone the perfect linen or a kick-ass deal that is going to add just the right touch to their event by pairing our clients with the most ideal team of event professionals to match their personality.

 

I am a Certified Wedding Planner by the Lovegevity’s Wedding Planning Institute and I have many years of event planning experience dealing with contracts, budgets, vendors and décor.  I can be that person who can guide you through your decision-making for your wedding and alleviate some stress. 

 

I started my first company in 2003, producing Cabaret shows, and found the love of being behind the scenes, rather than on-stage, creating an environment where people could have fun; be in love, and “enjoy the show”!  It was there that I realized how much work goes into “setting the stage” for an event; and I quickly began to learn the wedding and event industry. I have been producing, managing and creating unique events ever since. Ruby Events was born in 2008 out of genuine enthusiasm, and a desire to provide that personal touch.

 

I live in New York City, with my incredibly clever, caring and talented daughters and son, who challenges me everyday to be a better mother, friend, human being; and my amazing guy who loves me, (despite the fact that I do not clean bathrooms and rarely do laundry.)
